Robert represents Ngāi Te Ohuake on The Trust. Robert is the Chairperson for Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Ohuake and is sitting as hapū delegate for Ngāti Hau. Robert is the General Manager for two organizations, Te Maru o Ruahine Trust which operates as the legal entity for Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Hauiti and Rauhuia Environmental Services.

Robert Chairs and is the Project Executive for the Ngā Puna Rau o Rangitikei environmental group and is a delegate for Ngāi Te Ohuake on Te Ranga Tupua (a collective of iwi leaders from Mōkai Pātea Iwi Nui Tonu, Ngāti Apa, Ngāti Rangi, Atihaunui-a-Paparangi (Whanganui) and Taranaki Iwi).

After resisting involvement in hapū and iwi matters for many years, Robert has quickly become involved in Iwi development over the last 8 years.  The Trust benefits from Rob’s commercial management experience and knowledge across industries, including hospitality, education, agriculture and exporting and logistics. Robert holds a Bachelor of Applied Business Studies, an advanced certificate in Adult Teaching and has significant work experience covering contract management, asset, and project management.

With his whakapapa ties to Ngāi Te Ohuake Robert has put his skills to work,  assisting the development of Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Te Ohuake. Robert is dedicated to advancing his Iwi forward to enable economic growth, wellbeing of the whānau, social and health needs and sustainability for the future of the people of Ngāi Te Ohuake
