Welcome to the Mōkai Pātea Waitangi Claims Trust website.

Mōkai Pātea Waitangi Claims Trust represents the collective interests of the iwi and hapū of the Mōkai Pātea rohe, including Ngāti Whitikaupeka, Ngāti Tamakōpiri, Ngāti Hauiti, and Ngāi te Ohuake. The Trust was established to progress the settlement of the historical Treaty of Waitangi claims of our people.

Our role is to advocate on behalf of our iwi and hapū to seek redress for historical breaches of Te Tiriti o Waitangi by the Crown, while ensuring our whānau remain informed, engaged, and connected throughout the settlement journey.
