How to register
Registration is easy – download the Registration Form (pdf), fill in the relevant details and either post or scan and email it back to the Trust to the address on the back of the form or give it to one of the Trustees for your iwi.
If you need assistance with your whakapapa there are contacts for each rūnanga on the registration form to help.
People over 18 years should fill in their own form – for those with children under this age, you can include them on your registration form. As the form makes clear, children registered in this way will automatically become registered adult members once they turn 18 years of age.
Each rūnanga will also have paper copies of the registration form available for you to use.
Please, pass on these forms to other whānau so they too can stay in touch with the work of the Trust and can follow the progress of the claim.
Why register?
It is very important that you register your details and those of your children with the Trust, and encourage other family members to register as well.
Registering allows the Trust to keep you informed of important information relating to the settlement of our claims. Eventually, the Trust will seek a mandate to negotiate with the Crown to settle our claims and iwi members get the opportunity to vote on this and other important issues.
We have developed our registration form so that members can also register with their iwi rūnanga at the same time, saving time and effort. Your iwi will need the ability to inform you of iwi events, including aspects of the claims pertaining to your iwi.
If you have any questions regarding registration please contact our Iwi Administrator.
